The Third Eye Chakra also known as Ajna in Sankrit, is probably the most talked about of the chakras. It is typically accurately referenced when people are speaking of levels of higher consciousness and awareness. The Ajna Chakra is an important energy system that serves as connection with our intuition, self awareness, and higher vibration of consciousness. Depending on your spiritual beliefs this is also the area of clairvoyance. Like all of the chakras, The Ajna Chakra could also be affected by blockage. A blocked Third Eye hinders the ability to focus and clearly interpret information being received.
The quick chat video blog opens dialogue a little bit more about the slight misconception of the The Eye Chakra. On the journey of higher understanding of self; it can be difficult to identify and focus on who you are as a being. That journey can be made even more difficult if energy flow has a blockage of stripped cultural identity. This is an energy exchange challenge black cultures face globally. Black Americans especially face this challenge, but rarely discuss the root causes of this cultural blockage.
When discussing Third Eye awareness and having an “open third eye” it is important to acknowledge energy flow. Universal Energy flows into the body; providing the elements and energy from outside. External elements such as environment, spiritual beliefs, diet and lifestyle have an affect on Universal Energy. Prana energy flows upward from within your body starting at the base of the spine at the Root (Muladhara) Chakra, and flowing to the Crown (Sahasrara) Chakra at the top of your head. Within the chakra energy flow up the spine The Throat (Vishuddha) Chakra located below the Ajna Chakra. The Vishuddha Chakra is known as the communication chakra and serves as a bridge between the physical and spiritual realms. The Throat Chakra has an direct affect of how internalized information is delivered to the Third Eye.
If a person has toxins within those universal energies or prana flow, it could cause restricted energy and imbalances within the Chakra energy bodies. To restore balance and decrease the restricted energy flow it is good to practice self love meditation, and restorative yoga. Its great for the body and to acknowledge these areas that need special care. Being mindful of our “tender” spots, we can open the dialogue of healing within self; and with others of the community.
